History

Since 2004, the USA has declared the month of October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a dedicated month for the public and private sectors to work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

This awareness month has been spread throughout the world. Australia, the European Union, the USA, and many others joined the initiative.

2023 Edition

For this year’s edition, the four main themes chosen by the CISA (the American-based Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) are:

• Using strong passwords.
• Turn on MFA.
• Recognize and report phishing.
• Update software.
